New. Better. Best.
The beginning of a new year brings most people to a point of wanting new habits. People make new year’s resolutions, set goals, and dream bigger dreams than they dared to dream last year. The desire to be better is real. The belief that this will be your best year ever is totally possible.
If you are a pastor or a youth pastor, you’re probably thinking, what can I say to get people moving in the right direction with their lives this year? How can I get people to see God in a fresh way? Or, how can I get people inspired to dream again to pursue all that God is calling them to? (Or maybe, you’re not a pastor, and you’re wondering similar things just in regards to your personal life or family.)
We’re going to kick off a new series at our own church this month, but I wanted to encourage you with messages from the last 3 years that we’ve taught at Champions Centre in January. Maybe they will be an inspiration for you as you prepare to bring God’s word to your church. Or, they can be listened to and digested for the first time (or as a repeat) to start your year out right with more of God’s word in your life. See if God doesn’t show up with a fresh revelation for your present situation.
2018: Scripting and Steering
Setting the course for your life begins with your script. It's the one thing you can do to make a change for the better. Words spoken by us, to us, around us, about us create a script that we live from and move us in a specific direction in our lives. Learn how you can be intentional with your words.
2017: The Domino Effect
Your future starts with the choices you make today. We are designed by God to be creatures of habit, and many of us are stuck in a pattern of negative ones. In this message, we give you practical ways to start breaking bad habits and creating a positive domino effect in our lives.
When we're moving onward, it's less about what we are leaving behind and more about what we are heading toward. Be inspired to make plans to get you to where you want to go. All of us have habits in one form or another, but the question is whether our habits are taking us down the right path? This series focuses on practical ways to move onward and improve our lives.
